Dhruv Jurel, a young and energetic wicket-keeper who comes from Agra is the latest buzz in the international test arena. Before representing his nation, he represented his state i.e. Uttar Pradesh and delivered some mind-blowing performances.
Let us have a look at Dhruv Jurel’s domestic and IPL statistics.
In only 20 innings of his 16 first class games, Jurel scored 836 runs with a decent batting average of 46.44. Bind you, he is not an opener, but a wicket-keeper batsman. And for any wicket-keeping batsman, these are the decent figures.
Not only this, his List A statistics are even more amazing. In only 7 innings of 10 matches, this young lad of Uttar Pradesh managed to score 189 runs in which 3 times he remained not out and thus his batting average goes to 47.25.
At last, let’s have a look at his IPL journey. In the IPL he represents Rajasthan Royals. In the overall 13 matches played in last season, Jurel managed to score 152 runs with a modest average of 21.71 but his strike rate was somewhere about 172 and that was something that T20 game actually demands.

In 16 First Class games, Jurel has managed to score 38 dismissals in which there are 35 catches behind the stumps and 3 stumpings. Not only this, In 10 list A matches, he managed to take 16 amazing catches and did 2 lightning fast stumpings.
And when this young lad got a chance in a test match, he left no stone unturned. There he took only 1 catch and managed to do only 1 stumping but took some amazing gatherings and showcased amazing wicket-keeping skills. With bat, he scored a decent 46 valuable runs for his team.
